Onboarding checklist

• Signed Installer Partner Agreement Required

  The master terms — independent contractor status, liability, payment, and quality standards. You sign it on the site from the link in your onboarding email. How and when you are paid is set out separately in the payment terms.
• Commercial General Liability insurance + Certificate of Insurance Required

  $1,000,000 per occurrence minimum, with Tread OS LLC named as Additional Insured. The certificate is due before your first order and at every renewal. Details below.
• Completed W-9 Required

  So we can pay you as an independent contractor and issue year-end tax documents.
• Quality acknowledgement Required

  Recorded by Tread OS, not sent by you. After we have met you and seen your work, we note that you work to manufacturer torque specifications and industry-standard practice and allow initial quality-observation visits — the standard in section 6 of the Agreement you sign. Nothing to send for this one.

The insurance requirement, explained

Because Tread OS ships the tires into your shop and sends you the customer, we ask to be listed as an Additional Insured on your existing liability policy. In plain terms: if a job ever leads to a claim, your policy covers both of us. It usually costs little or nothing — your agent adds our name and sends back a one-page certificate. This is the same thing distributors, fleets and commercial accounts already ask of tire shops.

How to do it

1. Call or email your insurance agent — the one who handles your shop’s liability policy.
2. Send them the request below. It has everything they need.
3. They add Tread OS LLC as Additional Insured and email the Certificate of Insurance back to you.
4. Forward that certificate to us. That clears the insurance requirement.
